In a proactive move to enhance security and ensure the continued safety of residents, the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, convened a high-level security meeting today at the council secretariat.

The meeting, held on Tuesday, September 2, brought together senior officers from the Nigeria Police Force, members of the Operation Burst tactical unit, and officials of the local task force. The gathering focused on reviewing current security challenges within the local government area and developing coordinated strategies to maintain peace and order.

During the meeting, Hon. Adeojo emphasized the importance of strengthening synergy between security agencies and the local government administration. Discussions also highlighted the critical role of community engagement in preventing crime and fostering a peaceful environment.

“This meeting is a testament to our unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of our people,” said Hon. Adeojo. “Only through collaboration, vigilance, and proactive planning can we address the security concerns facing our communities.”

Participants at the meeting agreed on the need for sustained information-sharing, increased patrols in sensitive areas, and community sensitization programs aimed at encouraging public cooperation with security agencies.

The Chairman reiterated his administration’s dedication to supporting all security efforts and ensuring that Ido Local Government remains a safe place for all residents and businesses.
