A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, representing the good people of Afijio State Constituency, Hon. Prince Deji Oparinde, has showered praises on the Oyo State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Prof. Dahud Sangodoyin, as he marks his birthday today.


In a goodwill message personally signed and made available to newsmen in Ibadan, Hon. Oparinde described Prof. Sangodoyin as a “rare breed of public servant” whose dedication to excellence, integrity, and sustainable energy development continues to serve as an inspiration across Oyo State and beyond.
“Professor Sangodoyin is not only a brilliant academic and technocrat but also a visionary leader who has brought intellectual depth and strategic foresight to governance.

His contributions to the energy sector have positioned Oyo State as a forward-thinking hub for energy transformation,” the lawmaker stated.



Highlighting the commissioner’s role in advancing energy infrastructure and promoting alternative power solutions, Hon. Oparinde emphasized that Prof. Sangodoyin’s leadership has significantly boosted the state’s developmental agenda, particularly in underserved areas.
According to him, the professor’s deep understanding of policy, combined with his humility and people-first approach, has made him a model for younger public officials and a source of pride for the academic and political community in Oyo State.

“As you mark another year today, we celebrate not just your age, but your achievements, your character, and your impact,” Oparinde added.

Prof. Sangodoyin, a renowned academic and policy expert, has played a pivotal role in expanding Oyo State’s energy roadmap, advocating for clean energy solutions and strategic partnerships aimed at enhancing energy access and economic growth.
The lawmaker however, prayed for long life and unlimited blessings to the Don, on his unwavering commitment to excellence in public service.
