Hon. Oluwaseun Ololade Oyewo, popularly known as Kosoro, has expressed profound appreciation to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stakeholders, and constituents in Afijio State Constituency following his emergence as the party’s consensus candidate for the 2027 general elections.

In a statement released to newsmen after his endorsement, Oyewo described the confidence reposed in him as a call to service and responsibility, pledging to deliver people-oriented and impactful legislation if elected.
He specially commended party elders and leaders across Afijio for their unity and commitment to strengthening the PDP, singling out Pa Ogunlade for his leadership and guidance throughout the consensus process.
Oyewo also extended heartfelt appreciation to his co-aspirants, Hon. Dokun Adeyemo and Hon. Ojo Kolawole (Arabanbi), for what he described as their exemplary sportsmanship and dedication to the party’s collective interest.
He urged them and their supporters to align with his candidacy to secure a resounding victory for the PDP in the forthcoming election.
The PDP candidate further lauded former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, who also serves as a distinguished Senator, Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu, for her motherly role and support in fostering acceptance and unity among stakeholders, noting that her intervention was instrumental in achieving consensus.
He however, commended the stakeholders and consensus committee; Chief Bashorun Sunday Ogunlade( Party leader), Hon Femi Emmanuel Aikomo ( Afijio Council chairman), Hon Tajudeen Adegoke ( Afijio West Political Head), Chief Ezikiel Akinade ( Party Chairman, The Jagun of Awe land ), Prince Sunday Olaoye (State Assistant Treasurer), Hon Sunday Akindele Ojo (Former Council chairman, SAO), Hon Shola Aderinola (Former Party Chairman), Hon Oluwole Akanbi (Former Vice council chairman and former state executive member) and Hon Ajibade Ojo (Party leader, Ajose )
Reaffirming his commitment to the people of Afijio, Oyewo assured constituents that his legislative agenda would focus on development-driven policies, effective representation, and improved welfare for all.
