A tanker loaded with 15,000 liters of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) has a tumble on the Iseyin axis of Oyo State.


Heritage Echo gathered that the incident occurred on Sunday Odo-Igba, Iseyin – Saki Road, Iseyin.
No life was lost as firefighters averted the falling tanker from catching fire.

It was also gathered that the tanker lost control whilst in motion and swerved off the road into a nearby ditch.




Special Adviser to the Governor on Fire Service Reform/Agency Chairman, Hon. Moroof Adebayo Akinwande confirmed the incident to our correspondence.
He said, “The fire incident was reported at exactly 18:25hrs on Sunday, 10th August 2025, through a telephone call, and Mr Musa reported a trailer tanker accident at the above-stated address.

“Immediately receiving the address, the firemen led by ACFS Azeez swiftly deployed to the incident scene.

“On arrival, it was a trailer tanker with an unknown registered number loaded with 15,000 liters of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), lost control whilst in motion, and swerved off the road into a nearby ditch.
“The Firemen quickly swung into action and applied chemical foam compound to neutralize the flammability of the content and prevent it from exploding.
However, the normal vehicular movement has been restored back on the road
