Former Oyo State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Prof. Abdul-Rahman Afonja, has thrown his weight behind Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, popularly known as DON, the PDP candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election, with a donation of two 18-seater buses and campaign materials.

Handling over the keys on Wednesday, Afonja expressed confidence in DON’s vision to transform the Ibadan North Federal constituency, describing him as experienced, tested, and trusted.

He noted that the PDP candidate will play a vital role in promoting the welfare of his constituents and contributing to the country’s development.

Afonja said: “This donation is to demonstrate my commitment to the party and to ensure that we have a seamless campaign ahead of the August 16 by-election. I believe our candidate should be supported to deliver good governance through legislative duties.”

The buses, which will be fueled and maintained by Afonja, will aid DON’s campaign efforts.

The Ogbomoso born politician however commended Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership and the transparent primary election process, expressing optimism that the party will be victorious in the August 16 by-election.
