Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a leader who exemplified discipline and integrity throughout his public life.
In a statement issued this afternoon following the news of Buhari’s death, Engr. Olaniyan paid tribute to the former president’s character and leadership style, highlighting his legacy of simplicity, unwavering discipline, and moral uprightness.
According to reports, former President Buhari passed away at approximately 4:30 p.m. today in a London hospital.
Engr. Olaniyan extended his condolences to the immediate family of the late president, the Emir and people of Daura, the Government of Katsina State, and the Federal Government of Nigeria.
He concluded his message with prayers for Almighty Allah to grant the bereaved family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
