The lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, has mourned the passing of His Royal Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, who join his ancestors in the early hours of today.
In a statement issued by his Media Group and made available to the journalists in Ibadan, Agboworin described Olubadan’s demise as a touching and painful one.
The two-term lawmaker and Chairman, House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, praised the late Olubadan for his wisdom, leadership, and commitment to the development of Ibadanland while he was alive.
He noted that the monarch’s legacy would continue to inspire future generations and that his contributions to the Ibadanland would never be forgotten.
Agboworin also commiserated with the royal family, the people of Ibadanland, and the entire state, praying for the repose of the Olubadan’s soul.
