The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Asiwaju Akeem Olatunji, has joined well-wishers in celebrating the 90th birthday anniversary of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, describing the monarch’s reign as a period of remarkable growth and unity in the ancient city.
In a goodwill message on Saturday, Olatunji extolled the virtues of the Olubadan, acknowledging his commitment to peace, cultural preservation, and socio-economic advancement in Ibadanland.
“Since ascending the throne, Kabiyesi has brought grace, wisdom, and peace to our land. Ibadan is witnessing tremendous growth under his reign, from infrastructural development to increased investor confidence and socio-cultural renaissance,” the Chairman said.
He further noted that Oba Olakulehin’s leadership has strengthened the traditional institution and elevated the prestige of Ibadan on the national stage.
According to Olatunji, the monarch’s ability to foster collaboration among political and traditional stakeholders have contributed significantly to the peaceful coexistence across various communities in the city.
“As we celebrate His Imperial Majesty at 90, we are not just marking a milestone in age, but also celebrating a legacy of purpose-driven leadership.
“Kabiyesi remains a father to all as a symbol of heritage and hope for generations to come,” he added.
Olatunji prayed for the monarch’s continued good health, wisdom, and long life on the throne, expressing optimism that Ibadan would continue to experience unprecedented progress under his royal guidance.
