The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo East and Oyo West has commended Hon. Olorunpoto Cephas Rahaman for his exceptional Sallah intervention — a gesture widely described as the first of its kind by any PDP member in the Oyo State House of Assembly representation.
In celebration of the Eid festivities, Hon. Rahaman, fondly known as ‘Poto’, distributed cash gifts, food items, and rams to party elders, stakeholders, executives, and members across the 20 wards in Oyo East and Oyo West Local Governments. His reach extended to non-indigenes, traditional leaders, selected clerics, and the general public, reflecting a deep commitment to inclusive and people-first leadership.
The distribution was conducted without discrimination, uniting all segments of the PDP and the wider community. This compassionate initiative strengthened bonds across political, ethnic, and religious lines, reinforcing the spirit of solidarity that defines both the PDP and the people of Oyo.
