The Chairperson of Lagelu Local Government, Mrs. Taiwo Abibat Mudashiru, welcomed a thousand children from various junior schools to a lively Children’s Day celebration at the National Museum, Jericho, on Tuesday.

The event, filled with joy and excitement, brought together young students for a memorable day of fun, learning, and cultural engagement.

The celebration featured a diverse array of activities tailored for children of all ages. From energetic music and dance performances to captivating gallery displays showcasing Nigeria’s rich heritage, the museum complex buzzed with enthusiasm. Children participated in interactive sessions, games, and educational exhibits, creating an atmosphere of laughter and discovery.

Mrs. Mudashiru, in a statement to the press emphasized the importance of nurturing young minds and celebrating their potential. “Our children are the future for Lagelu, for Oyo State and for Nigeria… Today, we celebrate their energy, creativity, and dreams,” she said, expressing her delight at the children’s enthusiasm.

The National Museum provided an ideal backdrop, blending fun with learning as children explored historical artifacts and engaged in creative activities. Parents and teachers praised the initiative, noting its role in bringing children together to celebrate their special day.
