Barr. Akeem Agbaje, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has extended his warm felicitations to the Chief Imam of Ibadanland and Grand Imam of Oyo State, Sheikh Abubakri Abdulganiy Agbotomokekere, as the revered Islamic leader marks his 90th birthday.
In a message made available to the press, Agbaje described the nonagenarian cleric, who also serves as the Grand Patron of the League of Imams and Alfas of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States, as a remarkable spiritual leader whose life has been dedicated to the service of Almighty Allah and the upliftment of the Muslim Ummah.
He noted that the legacy of Sheikh Agbotomokekere stands as a guiding light not only to the Muslim community in Oyo State but across the southwest and beyond. He further praised the Chief Imam’s lifelong commitment to religious scholarship, peace-building, and community development.

“For many generations, Baba Agbotomokekere has remained a pillar of moral and spiritual strength to countless faithful, offering steady guidance with a deep sense of humility and responsibility. His leadership has contributed immensely to interfaith harmony and the promotion of righteous living in our society,” Agbaje stated.

“I join the entire Muslim community in celebrating Baba today. May Almighty Allah continue to grant him wisdom, good health, and long life.”
