The member representing Ibadan North East Constituency II in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olusola Adewale Owolabi, has taken a bold step in strengthening security within his constituency by installing solar-powered lights at the Agugu Police Station and the Amotekun office.

The two-term lawmaker, who also serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Public Petitions, supervised the installation on Thursday and reiterated that the initiative is aimed at improving visibility, safety, and working conditions for security personnel.

According to him, the deployment of solar-powered lights is also expected to boost nighttime economic activities, enhance community development, and offer a sustainable lighting solution for residents.

Hon. Owolabi emphasized that the project is a crucial part of his broader commitment to fostering growth and creating a safer, more secure environment for the people of Ibadan North East Constituency II.

In response to the kind gesture, security operatives and residents of the community applauded the lawmaker for his proactive efforts in promoting safety and well-being.

They expressed appreciation for his initiative in providing reliable, eco-friendly, and sustainable lighting—highlighting its significance in advancing the overall security and development of the area.
