Engineer Faozy Oladotun Nurudeen has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Ajimobi and Kola-Daisi families following the tragic passing of Abisola Kola-Daisi (née Ajimobi), the first daughter of the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, former Governor of Oyo State.

In his tribute, Faozy described Abisola—fondly known as Abi-KD—as an exceptional woman whose impact spanned multiple sectors, from entrepreneurship and fashion to public service and philanthropy. He emphasized that her contributions were invaluable to both the business landscape and society at large. Praying for the repose of her soul, he also sought divine comfort for her grieving family.

Abisola Kola-Daisi was a trailblazer whose entrepreneurial acumen, fashion expertise, and commitment to philanthropy set her apart. Born in Lagos and raised in California, she pursued a dynamic career that saw her excel across different industries.

As the founder and CEO of Florence H Luxury, a prestigious luxury retail brand established in 2012, she played a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s high-end fashion industry. However, her professional journey was not confined to fashion—she had previously gained significant experience in the banking, oil and gas, and shipping industries, demonstrating her versatility and intelligence.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Abisola was a respected figure in Nigeria’s elite circles and a major force in the global fashion scene. She actively participated in high-profile fashion events worldwide, using her influence to promote luxury brands and indigenous Nigerian fashion on an international scale.

Her impact extended into governance and corporate leadership, as she was recently appointed Special Adviser to Nigeria’s Minister of Budget and Economic Planning. This appointment highlighted her growing influence in public service, where she was poised to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s economic policies.

One of Abisola’s most enduring legacies was her commitment to philanthropy. She founded the AKD Foundation and the AKD Kids Foundation, organizations dedicated to providing care and support for orphans and homeless children in Nigeria. Additionally, she was a patron of the ABC Foundation, a charitable initiative founded by her mother in Ibadan.

Her philanthropic impact was immense, as she used her resources and platform to uplift underprivileged communities and inspire young women in business and leadership.

Abisola’s passing is a significant loss, not only to her family and friends but to the many lives she touched through her professional work, humanitarian efforts, and mentorship. Her legacy of hard work, elegance, and generosity will be remembered for years to come.

As Nigeria mourns, Engineer Nurudeen Faozy’s tribute resonates with the collective grief felt by many. He prayed for divine strength for both the Ajimobi and Kola-Daisi families, urging them to find solace in the incredible legacy Abisola leaves behind.
