Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK), is a Gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State in 2027.
Political parties are the cornerstone of democratic governance – they provide a structured framework for citizens to participate in the electoral process. They are a conduit for aggregating and articulating the interests of diverse groups, advancing an environment of constructive debate and competition.
Over time, and ideally, political parties are to promote accountability, transparency, and good governance. They play vital roles in shaping the trajectory of nations, subnationals, and advancing the welfare of citizens alike.
2027 elections in Nigeria and Oyo state are approaching, and political gladiators are scheming, – and I am also poised to take a significant step in my political journey, driven by a deep-seated passion for the advancement of our beloved Pace Setter state. I wish to announce that I will be joining a political party very soon, align myself with a structured political entity that sits well with my ideology, personal philosophy, and commitment to the well-being of Oyo state people that I seek to represent. This strategic move is designed to propel my political aspirations to new heights, leveraging the party’s infrastructure, expertise, and network to amplify my impact and institute sustainable impacts. It will be a journey of mutual benefit.
My impending arrival in the political arena, I believe, is set to inject fresh momentum into the party I will be joining, to bring a unique blend of skills, experience, and perspectives to the table. This strategic alignment with a party that shares my vision and values is, without any doubt, an aspiration to make significant contributions that will benefit the party, its existing members, and, in the broader sense of it, the good people of Oyo state.
I am committed to working collaboratively with party members to deliver in spirit of unity, cooperation, and collective purpose. I am more than certain that we will drive for and make fundamental impact, promote good governance, and advance the welfare of fellow people of Oyo State.
By God’s grace, the timing of my entry into the political party will coincide with the commissioning of the AKK House, and it’ll be a landmark event that will showcase the party’s prestige, influence, and commitment to the development of Oyo state.
The party and its distinguished leaderships will be the chief host – this is to demonstrate the party’s sensitive status to the realisation of this critical goal, and to underscore its dedication to the well-being of the Oyo state people.
I am quite confident that this strategic alignment will motivate a sense of belonging among party members and recognise the central status of the party in driving progress and promoting desired reforms.
I wish to state with all sense of humility and conviction that this grand entry into the political party will be accompanied by a massive show of support and attendance from members of the Aseyori Support Group (ASG) across Oyo state, to demonstrate our collective commitment to this cause and to the advancement of our beloved state.
We will release our activity schedule for the year and harmonise our efforts with those of the political party to ensure and make space for a cohesive and inclusive approach that benefits all stakeholders.
We will also synchronise our initiatives and unleash a powerful synergy that propels Oyo state toward promising prospects, driven by a shared vision of progress, prosperity, and good governance. Everyone should be ready.
