Ibadan Progressive Union Commiserates with Gov Makinde Over Brother’s Demise

The Ibadan Progressive Union (IPU), under the Chairman Engr Kayode Arowolo and the entire members of the Union, has sent a heartfelt condolence message to His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde, following the untimely passing of his beloved elder brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde.

According to the release and made available to Heritage Echo Correspondence by the union Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Wale Rufai, the IPU described Engineer Sunday Makinde as an illustrious son of Ibadan, whose demise has left a gaping hole in the hearts of his family, friends, and the entire Ibadan community.

The union expressed their deepest sympathies to Governor Makinde and his family, praying to God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The statement read in parts;

“We are deeply saddened by the news of Engineer Sunday Makinde’s passing, our thoughts and prayers are with Governor Makinde, his family, and the entire Makinde dynasty during this incredibly difficult time.”

The union praised Governor Makinde’s strength and resilience in the face of adversity, saying that his leadership and commitment to the welfare of the people of Oyo State have been a beacon of hope and inspiration to many.

“We stand in solidarity with Governor Makinde and his family as they navigate this dark hour. We pray that God will grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and continue to lead our great state to greater heights.” the union concluded.
