The Political Head/Administrator of Oyo Southwest local council development area, Hon. Nureni Adesola Alade, has congratulated the new Alaafin-designate, Prince Akeem Abimbola Owoade, over his selection, confirmation and approval by the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE, DSc, GSSRS.
In a congratulatory message made available to Heritage Echo News correspondent, the council Mayor commended the choice of Prince Akeem Abimbola Owoade from the Agunloye ruling house by the Kingmakers after due consultation and divine process by customs and tradition.
Alhaji Alade describes the new Alaafin-designate as a well-exposed, transformational leader with a very rich network and experience which will enhance the progress and further development of Oyo empire.
He further emphasized that the new custodian of culture and tradition reflects a very cool-headed, virtuous man endowed with all that it takes in terms royalty, emotional intelligence, and an understanding of the immediate environment, as well as charting a new course of progress and prosperity.
Alhaji Alade acknowledged the ascension of Prince Akeem Owoade to his forefather’s throne as a testament to his goodwill and keen interest in the development of the Òyó empire.
He expressed his profound satisfaction and delight with the appointment, noting that, “The new Alaafin of Oyo-designate possesses the wisdom, determination, and vision necessary to uphold the legacy of his predecessors and maintain the stool as the foremost traditional one in Yoruba land and the arch-custodian of Yoruba history and tradition,” the unique politician stated.
