The wife of the Executive Chairman of Iseyin Local Government, Mrs Taiwo Yemisi Fadiran who is also the first woman in the Council Area has stormed the town and other settlements intensifying campaigns against gender based violence.
While addressing market men and women at Atake-Adabo Market, the heart centre of Iseyin, Mrs Fadiran was passionate in her words warning culprits of Gender Based Violence to desist from the acts, saying the First Lady in Oyo State, Engr Taminominini MAKINDE has put all legal machinery in motion to deal with the perpetrators of the dastardly acts.
The number one woman in the Council Area listed
violence against women and girls to include battering of wives, rape, forced marriage, female child trafficking among other social vices, saying, grievous punishments await culprits of the offences. She also charged the public to report cases of violence against women and girls to the Law Enforcement Agents & Social Welfare Offices.

The campaign train started the procession right from the Council Premises, carrying placards with various inscriptions condemning Gender Based Violence, particularly the ones being perpetrated against women and girls.

A vehicle mounted with public address system with jingles sensitizing the public against violence against female genders moved along Iseyin township with stop overs at densely populated areas like Atake-Adabo Market, Farmers Market (Oja Agbe) Oluwole Area, Isalu Area and other strategic centres within the Council Area where people were sensitized.
In company of Mrs Fadiran are the Female Councilors: Hon (Mrs Adekunle Basirat, the Deputy Chief Whip and Hon (Mrs) Komolafe Elizabeth, Councilor representing Ward Ten.
Wives of the Vice Chairman, Secretary, Chief of Staff; Mrs Deborah Oladipupo, Mrs Rofiat Tiamiyu Mrs Abibat Adeoti respectively joined Mrs Fadiran in the campaigns.
Female Supervisors in the Local Government were not left out as Alhaja Kafilat Babalola, the Coordinating Supervisor who also takes charge of Agriculture and Rural Development, Hon Ogunrinola Rasifat, Supervisor for Works, Hon Adebayo Sakirat, Supervisor for Special Duties & Intergovernmental Affairs and Hon Fasaasi Mujidat, Supervisor for Transport participated actively in the campaign along other women politicians in the Council Area.
The Director of Education, Alh Salami Kolawole Rasheed, the Information & Public Relations Officer, Mr Sola Ogunmola, Officer attached to the Chairperson’s Office, Alh Aajara among other officers in Education & Social Services Department of the the Local Government conspicuously did well in support of the campaigns.
