The executive council chairman of Ido local government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, has commended the Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde, for the immediate release of N2 billion to the contractor handling the 48 Kilometer Ido-Eruwa road project, an action made by the governor to fast-track the progress of the road rehabilitation.

Governor Makinde, on Thursday in Eruwa, during the flag-off of the redevelopment of the Eruwa farm settlement, said he had approved a tranche of N2 billion to the contractor of the Ido-Eruwa project.

Adeojo, in his thank you message on behalf of the people of Ido local government, appreciated Makinde, said the governor’s decision will have a positive impact on the people of his local government.

The council chairman added that Governor Makinde has always gone to
extreme lengths to make life better for people of the state, irrespective of political affiliation and voting pattern.

” Governor Seyi Makinde has always been a kind and empathetic leader, he can sense other people’s emotions, coupled with the ability to imagine what the masses might be going through.

” His Excellency managed to pass through the Ido-Eruwa road today and feel what his people might have been experiencing on the road; as an understanding leader, he took an instant action to ease what he assumed might be of pain to his people. Thank you, your Excellency.

” With the released fund to the contractor, there will be an immediate relief to our people in Ido local government as well as a positive impact on our economy,” Adeojo said.

Adeojo called on residents of Ido local government to keep their trust in Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration and said the governor would complete and commission all projects embarked on before May 29, 2027.
