As the world marks World Children’s Day today, Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem, a gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State, Nigeria, joins the global community in celebrating the rights and well-being of children.

AKK in a statement made available to news men on Wednesday, reaffirms his commitment to upholding the fundamental rights of every child, ensuring they receive the necessary support for normal development, both materially and spiritually.

Key Rights of Every Child

  • Right to Basic Needs: Every child deserves access to food, healthcare, and education.
  • Right to Protection: Children must be shielded from exploitation, abuse, and harm.
  • Right to Development: Children should be equipped to earn a livelihood and reach their full potential.
  • Right to Social Responsibility: Children should be taught to utilize their talents for the betterment of society.

Dr. Kareem assures that, as governor, he will prioritize these rights, ensuring every child in Oyo State has the opportunity to thrive. His vision includes providing quality education, healthcare, and protection from exploitation.

“A child’s smile is the beacon of hope for a brighter future,” Dr. Kareem says. “As leaders, we must support our children with unwavering strength, empowering them to become the better Nigerian we all desire.”

As we celebrate World Children’s Day, let us join Dr. Kareem in reaffirming our commitment to protecting and promoting children’s rights. Together, we can build a brighter future where every child can grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.
