The state Acting Governor, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal made this pledge during an inspection tour of some state hospitals facilities in Ibadan, the state capital, on Thursday.

Accompanied by the Chairman of the State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, the Acting Governor visited the State Hospital, Adeoyo Ring Road, Ibadan, where he was received by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Shakira Olanlege.

The tour included visits to the High Dependency Unit, Maternity Ward, Renal Dialysis Center, Laundry, and Maxillofacial Unit.

He equally inspected the first solarized medical oxygen plant in Nigeria at Jericho Specialist Hospital, Ibadan.

Addressing journalists after the tour, Barrister Bayo-Lawal reiterated the present administration’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art facilities and ensuring existing ones remain functional.

Dr. Akin Fagbemi, Chairman of the State Hospital Management Board, appreciated the Seyi Makinde-led administration for prioritizing healthcare.

He emphasized the importance of monitoring and supervising state healthcare facilities to prevent underutilization.

Other officials on the entourage of the acting Governor, included the Permanent Secretary of the Hospital Management Board, Dr. Anifat Ibrahim, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Kehinde Ayinde.
