PHOTOS: Oyo Youth Agency Chairman Hon. Adebowale Meets SUMAL Team, Discusses Potential Collaboration For Youth Development

Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, on Thursday, paid a significant courtesy visit to SUMAL, Ring road, Oluyole extension, Ibadan, where he shared his deep appreciation for the company’s rich history and its considerable staff strength.

The collaboration courtesy visit was held at the company’s board conference room which had in attendance the Executive Secretary of the Oyo State Agency for Youths, Mrs. Nancy Olayinka Muraina, political functionaries, Messrs Haresh and V.P Sudarsan, and various others.

Speaking during the visit, the youth agency Chairman, Hon. Adebowale lauded the invaluable contributions of the company to the socioeconomic development of Pacesetter State, which is in line with His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE agenda in transforming the State through the creation of an enabling environment for businesses to thrive. Stating that the youth agency is responsible for training youth in various skills and providing support for their development.

He emphatically stated the impacts of skills acquisition and provisions of equipment for self-reliance for a sustainable future.

Hon. Adebowale expressed his heartfelt condolences to the management and staff of SUMAL over the unfortunate incident that claimed the lives of some of their colleagues a few weeks ago. He emphasized the importance of ensuring proper staff remuneration and benefits, advocating for fair and supportive measures that would enhance the well-being of all employees.

He further highlighted the Agency’s commitment to the youth of Oyo State, announcing that numerous programs have been outlined to uplift and improve the lives of young people across the state under the legacy of Omituntun 2•0 agenda of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde.

He now called on SUMAL ably coordinated by Messrs Haresh and V.P Sudarsan to contribute to these efforts through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), encouraging the company to partner with the Agency in creating lasting, positive change for the youth.

“Together, with the support of key stakeholders like SUMAL, we can build a brighter future for our youth and our state”. Adebowale affirmed.

In their separate remarks in response to the chairman’s advocacy, Mr. Messrs Haresh & V.P Sudarsan said the SUMAL company has evaluated its salary scheme, and its minimum wage is tagged at 74,000 while the highest depending on their rank.

They also added that the company will continue to prioritize its worker’s welfare and ensure a smooth relationship with the government agency.

“We assured the youth agency of progressive collaborations and exploring ways to work together for the benefit of Oyo State and its people” Messrs Haresh and V.P Sudarsan assured.
