….As Monarch, community Chairman, Women Wings Laud First Christian Church, Richland Springs, Texas.

It’s a New Dawn in Oke-Amu, Ajegunle Community in Itesiwaju local government areas of Oyo State, as a non-governmental organization, First Christian Church, Richland Spring Texas, commissioned a motorized borehole donated to the Ajegunle community amidst funfair, joy, and pageantry.

Access to clean water is a fundamental basic human need, yet many remote communities continue to struggle with securing this vital resource, thus, First Christian Church has brought great relief to the grassroots people by providing life essential daily needs to many communities in Oyo State and beyond.

This borehole is an answered prayer for the Ajegunle community, Oke-Amu, who previously walked long distances in the scorching sun to fetch water. The new water source is a lifeline for the community. They can now use the water for daily utilities, and farming, especially kitchen gardening, to ensure more variety of meals for their households.

Speaking during the official commissioning of the borehole, Rev. M.K.O Olayiwola and Evang A.B.O Olayiwola of The Glory of Heaven Gospel Church, Oyo praised First Christian Church, Richland Springs, Texas for embarking on a productive journey in bringing succor, hope, and relief to the neglected rural communities across each zone within Oyo State.

According to the Clerics, the borehole was described as a lifeline in improving a hygienic healthy environment, and economic growth, demonstrating the Church’s dedication to environmental sustainability and community well-being.

“Water is life, he who eases the suffering of the people and uplifts the vulnerable is the righteous way of God. Jesus offers living water to anyone who believes in Him (John 7:38). This living water becomes a spring inside them that leads to eternal life (John 4:14).

The Bible often uses water to symbolize faith, salvation, and provision. Water is essential to our physical living just as Jesus is essential to our spiritual living.

Also, the Olugunwa of Oke-Amu, His Royal Majesty, Oba Omotosho Kasali Oyeniyi Gbadewolu 1, represented by the Olukotun of Oke Amu land, Chief Musiliu Ogunjobi, applauded the humanitarian donor, First Christian Church, Richland Springs Texas, for providing unbelievable relief to his domain, Ajegunle community.

Oba Omotosho further emphasized that this landmark initiative provides a reliable source of clean water, marking a significant milestone in the community’s journey toward sustainable development. More than just an infrastructure project, a standard borehole with accessible clean water with necessary gadgets to pilot the maintenance of the project.

The monarch now described the critical role that access to clean water plays in the overall well-being of a community, noting that it is not merely about quenching thirst but also about empowering individuals, promoting health, and fostering economic growth.

Also speaking, the Executive Chairman of Itesiwaju Local Government, Hon. Ojo Mosur Olayemi lauded the significant contributions of the donor to the Ajegunle community while soliciting the support of the people to achieve remarkable achievements.

Hon. Olayemi explained the importance of the Motorized Boreholes and their contributions to the development of the Ajegunle community thereby easing their suffering and improving healthy condition.

“First Christian Church’s dedication to the development of rural communities will be forever appreciated. As a government, we lauded their impacts in providing essential services at no cost directly to the people”. He said.

He also promised to run an inclusive governance and embark on people-oriented programs across the council area, saying his administration would adopt an open-door policy and give necessary recognition to the needs of the residents.

In his words, the Oke-Amu Community Chairman, Engineer Adegbite Akeem, while commending the donor said according to his interaction with the project coordinator, Pastor Bayo Ogunwale, the gesture came out of the desire to help the needy.

Engineer Adegbile further asserted that the project reflects the power of collaboration by the Church, in providing relief and bringing succor to the rural community.

“We’re deeply touched by this landslide project, we’ve been suffering from access to healthy water for numbers of years ago. A community that lacks access to clean drinking water often experiences less productivity due to time wasted seeking water and increased health challenges.’ As a community, we have a letter of appreciation to our donor and we sincerely look forward to more developmental projects in our area, he stressed.

Equally, Mrs. Belau Adefabi expressed gratitude to the donors for saving their lives. She prayed wholeheartedly and appreciated the donor while emphasizing that their hearts will continue to pray for them.

The roles played by community leaders and residents were also celebrated, highlighting the patience and cooperation that were vital to the project’s success.
