Barely 6-weeks to celebrate 100days in Office, the Executive Chairman of Atiba local government, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, on Thursday, Commissioned a newly built Community Health Post donated by Olorunsogo Community, a fully functional integrated maternity center to ensure safe childbirth and reduce the incidences of maternal and infant mortality and general clinic at the grassroots level.

Olorunsogo Health Post was built by the community through voluntary labor, and donations and is expected to provide quality healthcare services to the good people of the community and neighboring Atiba local government areas.

While Speaking at the Commissioning ceremony, the Council Mayor, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem lauded the local community for their magnanimous display and commitment to improving the healthcare delivery and well-being of their people.

Community Health Posts are touch points within your neighborhood where you can get access to health services near your home. This project will invariably provide immediate access to primary healthcare, providing residents with health counseling and education, and lots more.

“This is one of the aims of our restoration legacy tagged with community spirits and self-help, we’re grateful for this donation at this crucial period and promise to make good use of the facility to serve our people, as an adage says, Health is wealth”.

In his remarks, the Primary Healthcare Coordinator, Mrs. Akinyemi praised the Olorunsogo Community for their commitment to a healthy environment through voluntarily building and donating to the edifice to make a better lifestyle.
She promised a cordial relationship with the community in ensuring free access to healthcare delivery with the staff designated to maternity.

Also, the Olorunsogo Community Chairman, Pastor Jonathan Adewale applauded the executive Chairman and his team for having the interest of the people at heart and for the honor bestowed on the community to grace the Commissioning of the Health Post voluntarily built by the community.

Pastor Jonathan assured the staff designated to the maternity of cordial relationships and encouraged everyone present to visit the health center when the need arises.

In their separate remarks, Mr. Olaoye, CDC Sooro LCDAs, Mr. Ojoawo, Rev. Obaloluwa, Isale-Oyo Development Council appraised Olorunsogo Community for putting smiles on the face of the residents and promoting grassroots healthcare delivery and encouraged the people particularly every community should strive for excellence and shouldn’t be laid back when it comes to communal development like this.
They commended the pragmatic move of the community in ensuring free access to a healthy environment.

The highlight of the events features the ribbons cutting to commission the community health post by the Executive Chairman of the Royal Council, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, and his executive and legislative cabinets.

Ademola Kayode Adeniyi, the Chief of Staff, Alhaji Saheed Babalola, Honourable Supervisory Councilor for Health, Hon. Salawudeen Musa, Mrs. Adekunle S F (L.I.O), Mrs. Tella (CCO), Officer in charge of Healthcare, Alhaja Adeleke.
