All roads leading to Starlight Events Center, Mabolaje Oyo township blocked for the astonishing Oyo Global Forum public engagement and enlightenment event tagged “3rd Olu Afolabi Roundtable Summit” featuring lawmakers representing Oyo Central Senatorial district, Federal constituency, and State assembly respectfully, Heritage Echo News gathered.
In a conversation with Heritage Echo News, Dr. Suleiman Adediran, a development consultant to various multilateral organizations, including the World Bank and UNICEF, is to deliver a keynote at the 3rd Olu Afolabi Roundtable.
At this year’s edition, he’ll help set the tone before the panel discussion featuring federal and state lawmakers.
Federal and State Lawmakers expected at the panel discussion include the senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial district, Sen. Dr. Yunus Akintunde, Hon. Prince Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi (representing Atiba, Afijio, Oyo East and Oyo West) federal constituency, Oyo assembly Chief Whip, Hon. Gbenga Joseph Oyekola, representing (Atiba State Constituency), Hon. Prince Deji Oparinde (Afijio State Constituency), Hon. Olorunpoto Cephas Rahaman (Oyo East and Oyo West) State Constituency respectively.
Others are; the Chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Oyo branch, Barrister Olajide Olanipekun.
According to the OGF Chairman and Chief Host, Comrade Taiwo Hassan Adebayo acknowledged that the summit aims to host the people of Oyo and their representatives across levels to interact on issues of common concern and set agendas together.
The third Olu Afolabi Roundtable Summit designed to mark the first anniversary of the current elected political leadership, will provide a platform for Federal and State legislators from Oyo Federal Constituency to engage with their constituents, offering insights into governance, receiving feedback on their stewardship, and familiarizing constituents with their legislative duties as their representatives at both the State and Federal levels.
Ultimately, the Roundtable is aimed at setting a collective agenda as we look into the future as a community.
The venue is Starlight Events Centre, Mabolaje, Oyo while the panel discussion proper takes effect from 11:00 am
