The Vice-chairman of Atiba local government also known as the Political Head of Sooro local Council development area, Oke-Isunwin, Oyo, Hon. Badmus Ismail Olaide has felicitated all the Muslim Ummah across the Local government area and around the world on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The Political Head, in his Sallah message, called on the Muslim Ummah to reflect on the good virtues of personal sacrifice as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, on Eld-El-Kabir Sallah celebration.
He affirmed that we must use the occasion to fend for the poor and needy in society in line with Allah’s injunction to be our brother’s keeper.
Hon. Olaide said Eid-El-Kabir is a time for forgiveness, sober reflection, and sacrifice which should also be dedicated to prayers for love and peace to thrive throughout the nation. He encouraged all Muslims to eschew violence and celebrate in moderation.
According to him, I encourage the good people of the Sooro local Council development area to continue on the path of spirituality and peaceful coexistence. It also reminds us of the sacrifice we are expected to make not only for spiritual fulfillment but also for the progress of mankind and the development of our society.
Hon. Badmus Olaide further wished all Muslims. and Nigeria everywhere in the world a blissful celebration, imploring all and sundry to support the administration of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE in moving Oyo from poverty to prosperity.
