As Engr. Mrs Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde, the esteemed wife of Oyo State’s Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, marks her 52nd birthday, GSM Advocates joins friends, family, and well-wishers to honour this exceptional woman. Engr. Mrs Tamunominini Makinde’s life is a testament to grace, compassion, and dedication to uplifting her community.

Tamunominini Makinde has been a beacon of hope for women and girls in Oyo State. She has championed various initiatives aimed at empowering women and girls through education, entrepreneurship, and vocational training. Her commitment to breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for financial independence has positively impacted countless lives.

Mrs. Makinde is a vocal advocate against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and gender-based violence. She has collaborated with local communities, religious leaders, and healthcare professionals to raise awareness about the dangers of FGM and promote alternative rites of passage that uphold the dignity and rights of girls. Her efforts have significantly contributed to reducing the prevalence of FGM in Oyo State.

Engr. Mrs Tamunominini Makinde’s compassion extends to the less privileged members of society. She has established programs providing essential support, including healthcare services, educational resources, hygiene materials, and social welfare assistance, to vulnerable individuals and families. Her kindness and generosity have enhanced the lives of many.

Mrs. Makinde’s collaborative approach has fostered partnerships with government agencies, civil society organizations, and private sectors to initiate projects and programs addressing key challenges in Oyo State. Her contributions have positively impacted the lives of the people, leading to greater prosperity and well-being for all.

We can unequivocally and emphatically say that the First Lady is a mother indeed who is genuinely passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of people, and also consistently evolving initiatives to make our world a better place.

As we celebrate Tamunominini Makinde at 52, we honour her remarkable efforts in championing the rights and empowerment of women and girls in Oyo State. Her dedication to eliminating violence against women, supporting the less privileged, and contributing to the overall development of the state is a testament to her grace and compassion.

We wish her continued strength, wisdom, and blessings as she continues to inspire and uplift the community.
