The newly posted Police Area Command of Oyo town, ACP Òkè Olufunmilayo has assured the executive Chairman of Oyo West Local Government, Ojongbodu, Hon. Prince Akeem Salam Babatunde Olukitibi, adequate Security for the forthcoming local government elections.
ACP Òkè Olufunmilayo disclosed this on courtesy visits to the Chairman’s office this morning.
In his speech, ACP Òkè Olufunmilayo stated that all measures are in place for the smooth conduct of local government elections in Oyo township through the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC).
He urged the public, especially the political class and electorates to cooperate with law enforcement agencies for a smooth electoral process.
In his remarks, Hon. Prince Akeem Salam Babatunde Olukitibi lauded the new area command for his courtesy visits assuring him of the harmonious working relationship.
He cautions individuals who may constitute a nuisance to desist from such acts, noting that the election will be free, fair, and credible.
Prince Olukitibi said; “We pledged our full support and cooperation to ACP Oke Olufunmilayo and the entire police force as we work together to maintain peace and order in Oyo West Local Government Area.
