As the clock continues to wind down on the forthcoming local government that will be held on the 27th of this month, All is now set for the formal flag-off ceremony of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) local government elections campaign rally in the Oyo federal constituency, slated for today.
The Venue, Oyo Township Durbar Stadium is set to accommodate all the party leaders from the State, party faithful, Stakeholders, and leaders in four local government areas of Oyo federal Constituency comprised of Afijio, Atiba, Oyo East, and Oyo West respectively. As residents are out in their numbers both young and old anticipating the commencement of the event.
Productive arrangements are in top gear, the central stage is set, and all chairs have been effectively arranged section by section for the much-anticipated event. Party Members, students, civil servants, and numerous associations filled up Durbar Stadium holding placards and posters of all local government Chairmanship candidates across the four (04) council areas in Oyo.
Eminent personality expected at the ceremony include the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, along with all the prominent leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) throughout the state will perform the handling over the party flag bearer to all the Four (04) Chairmanship candidate and their Vice, together with all the 40 Councilorship candidate at the ceremony.
Consequent on the above, the following categories of Party Leaders across the four Local Governments of the OFC are invited and expected to be on a seat by 9 am prompt to await the arrival of His Excellency;

Governments, their Vice Chairmen, and their Political Functionaries.

-All the State Political Appointees.
-All the Local Government and the Ward Party Chairmen as well as their Executives.
-All the Local Government Youth Leaders and their Executives.
-All the Local Government Women Leaders and their Executives.
-All PDP stalwarts and members.
According to the statement made available to Heritage Echo News, through the Special Assistant to the Governor on Oyo federal Constituency matters, Hon. Ilyas Akin Alawode reaffirmed that the task ahead is in top gear to deliver Oyo Federal Constituency to the PDP in the forthcoming Local Government election, stating that it’s a collective task that must be achieved!
