To alleviate hunger and combat persistent inflation in Oyo West local government areas, the Adjel Foundation, led by its founder, Alhaji Adedeji Jeleel Gbolagade Alala, has donated food items to vulnerable individuals, some party members, within the Ojongbodu model Council.

Alala stated that the donation aims to enable the needy to fully participate in the 30-day Ramadan fast, which began on Monday, and to support the re-election campaign bid of Hon. Prince Salam Akeem Babatunde Olukitibi and Alhaji Hon Nureni Alade Adesola, who are known for their masses-oriented policies in the council area.
This marks the maiden edition of the foundation’s efforts to alleviate hunger and combat persistent inflation, which has sadly led to suicides among some vulnerable individuals. This step will also bring relief to the residents of Oyo West, aligning with the principles of the Olukitibi/Alade blueprint, which prioritizes the welfare of the citizenry.

Speaking at the event, Alhaji Abdul Jeleel Gbolagade Adedeji Alala emphasized that the gesture aims to promote love, understanding, and the spirit of togetherness, in line with the teachings of Ramadan. He expressed hope that the food items would strengthen the beneficiaries’ commitment and devotion to praying for peace, prosperity, and security.

He stressed the importance of supporting the re-election campaign bid of the Executive Chairman of Oyo West local government, Hon. Prince Salam Akeem Babatunde Olukitibi, and Alhaji Nureni Alade Adesola, urging beneficiaries to vote for the PDP across all units and wards in Oyo West on April 27, 2024.
Alala highlighted that the Olukitibi/Alade agenda focuses on sustainable development, adequate welfarism, Agribusiness Hub development, and delivering dividends of democracy directly to the grassroots level. He emphasized the importance of using internally generated revenue for the sustainable needs of the residents.
He announced that beneficiaries would receive the foodstuff free of charge, along with a cash donation each.
Alala acknowledged the challenges posed by security issues and the rising cost of living, particularly affecting villagers and those in urban centers who struggle to afford three square meals a day.

In his opening remarks, the Oyo West PDP party Chairman, Alhaji Hon. Sarafadeen Oyedele Oloyo, praised the personal support of Alhaji Adedeji Alala and his philanthropic gesture, especially during the fasting period.
