In fulfillment of promises to the Ward Seven (07) constituents, Hon. Adedeji Adebowale has revived thirteen years of solar-powered boreholes and Primary Healthcare centers in Ido local government towards effective service delivery to the residents.
The commissioning of the duo project was done at Gbekuba/Okeke, Ward Seven in Ido, to the admiration of the people.
Speaking at the events, Hon. Adedeji Adebowale disclosed that the commissioning of the two projects was nothing but a promise made and a promise kept.
According to him; “the borehole was constructed during President Goodluck Jonathan’s regime. Ever since 13 years ago, it has become a moribund and I revived it. The interest of my constituent remains my primary objective, it cost me over Seven Hundred thousand naira (#700k) to fix both the borehole back to normal and also renovate Gbekuba Primary Health Center”.
He made it clear that quality healthcare is a fundamental human right of all his constituents.
He also reiterated his commitment to ensuring that all people have access to needed health services of sufficient quality at an affordable price.
” the solar-powered borehole gesture was done to address the need of my constituent, especially during the dry season and health center which is in line with the efforts at bringing succor to his constituent, with speedy access to potable drinking water and free healthcare delivery”.
Adedeji further reiterated that he would continue to ensure that dividends of democracy get to the nooks and crannies of the council area. Explaining that the revival of the medical facility in Gbekuba/ Okeke would bring healthcare services closer to the people.
Speaking shortly after the commissioning, one of the constituents, Mr. Ibrahim Ayoola said; “I am so happy because this health center was in a terrible condition but today as he promised during his ward-to-ward tour in 2021 to Gbekuba, he has turned the health center to a magnificent edifice and not only that with modern borehole revive to cap it up, what a man of integrity is our honorable Councillor” he stated.
