In less than ten weeks before the local government elections in Oyo State, the residents of Ayetoro Housing and State Low-cost Schemes have reaffirmed their support for the re-election bid of Hon. Prince Salam Akeem Babatunde Olukitibi and his vice, Hon. Nureni Alade Adesola.
This was made known during the street credibility campaign held by the chairmanship candidate campaign council on Thursday across the council area.
Speaking on behalf of the landlord community, Mr. Gabriel Olukunle Adio stated that Olukitibi has shown credibility, character, good governance, brilliance, and understanding of the economy, and has achieved infrastructural development at the grassroots based on the available funds as well as given priorities to the needs of the people.
He said; “Omo’oba Olukitibi’s re-election bid isn’t on a partisan basis but for credibility, a grassroots administrator per excellent.
He had laid a good foundational structure for local administration and wooed Investors with continuous Enlightenment and empowerment of youth in vocational works, women empowerment, and proper attention to community needs.
” His party, PDP understands local politics on developmental standards than their opposition side who are making life difficult and unbearable for the masses. Olukitibi blueprint has opened up unimaginable development in Oyo West as the quota keeps on increasing every day” Mr. Adio stated.
Speaking during the street credibility show, the Director-general of Olukitibi/Alade Continuity, Hon. Wale Ogunsola assured the residents that a vote for the PDP candidate would make concerted efforts to lift the local economy of local government areas and the entire communities in the historic Oyo town and that the efforts of Olukitibi administration in expanding the economy of the state through agribusiness had begun to yield immense results as about 10 agro-processing industries have subscribed to the Fashola Agribusiness Industrial Hub being put up by the State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde.
Emphasizing that the PDP government would do more in the area of engaging local contractors and industries, he noted that Prince Salam Akeem Babatunde Olukitibi should be given the chance for a second term to allow him to build on the foundation of a better Oyo West Council which he is laying the solid structure of a great achiever.
“Consolidation of gains already recorded by the administration under Engr Seyi Makinde Omituntun 1.0, will have a great impact on his continuity agenda at the grassroots level as he promised to flag off unprecedented developmental initiative when fortune smiles on him at the polls”. Ogunsola declared
The support of the residents shows that PDP candidates in Oyo West are a factor
and tipped to emerge victorious at the poll, come 27 April 2024.
