No fewer than 29 suspects have been arrested for involving in various criminal activities by Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN) codenamed “Amotekun Corps” in Ondo State
According to the Punch news report, the Amotekun corps said the suspects were arrested at different locations across the state.
The state Commander of the corps in Akure , Adetunji Adeleye, said the suspects were allegedly involved in kidnapping, armed robbery, burglary, shop breaking and stealing of motorcycles.

Adeleye said; “The ember patrol is still ongoing, and last week, we were able to arrest 29 suspects that were involved in forms of security breaches which ranging from; kidnapping, armed robbery, housebreaking, shop breaking, stealing of okada and there is a particular suspect that left the correctional centre less than a week and went into the crime again, burglary.

“In the same way, those that were involved in illegal possession of firearms on our watch list in the last five months, we were able to apprehend some of them with different locally made guns and pistols.”
Adeleye said all the suspects would soon be arraigned before the court after the completion of investigation.
“All of these people would be profiled and be on prosecution any moment from today. All these suspects would be thoroughly investigated and they would be brought to book.

Among them we have suspected kidnappers, we have those that specialise in stealing household equipment, some of them stole cocoa beans, iron rods and diesel.
“We equally have about four people that violated the anti-open grazing law that would also be prosecuted, ” the commander stated.
