The Onitapa of Tapa town in the Ogo-Oluwa local government area of Oyo State, Oba Sikiru Alao Goriola 1, has called on the federal government to complete a project brought to his town about 10 years ago.

Oba Alao stated that the abandoned project has become a hideout for miscreants and shady characters in society and pleaded that the federal government should complete the project or allow the town to use it.

He called on the Oyo State government to make palliatives go around and stop officials from politicizing it. He stated that nothing was given to traditional rulers but the local government chairman said the monarchs would obtain theirs from the second batch.

The monarch holds the belief that the federal government will soon perform notwithstanding the untold suffering that people are passing through now.

He therefore urged the citizens of Nigeria to be patient concerning subsidy removal. Oba Alao noted that the two subsidy palliative trailers entered Ogo Oluwa and that if distributed equitably, about 200 bags of rice should be given to Tapa.

Speaking on what he wants the government to do for the area, he said many of their roads need to be graded, and they need a polling unit in Tapa so that they won’t be going to another town to cast their vote, they need secondary school and they want the federal government to work very fast in the refineries

He expressed gratitude to the Balogun, Otun Balogun, Akogun, Yeye Oge, Atunluse, Agbaakin, other Chiefs as well as all indigenes of the town for their cooperation with him to ensure that peace reigns in the town.

Tapa is a town not very far from Odo Oba, near Ogbomosho.
