In its bid to ensure productive Primary Health Care cut across the grassroots level, the executive Chairman of Oorelope local government, Hon. Raheem Akeem Adepoju has Inaugurated a 15-man local advisory primary health care committee, established to provide leadership and strategic direction for primary care initiatives.Â

In a statement released and made available to Heritage Echo News, through the council information officer, he disclosed that the Council PHCs advisory committee will be headed by the supervisory councilor for Health in Oorelope local government, Igboho, Oyo State, Hon. Michael Oni.

He further maintained that the essence of the committee Inaugurated is to collect and produce health and welfare-related information and statistics, claiming that collaboration with the stakeholders would build the capacity of medical personnel for Oorelope residents to achieve free healthcare as provided by the sustainable development agenda of his Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde.
Adepoju who is ably represented at the Inauguration by Hon. Ajanla, added that the purpose of the Committee is to support the local government Chairman’s innovative ideas on Improving primary health delivery through high-level strategic advice and develop methods to assess the provision, use, cost, and effectiveness of health services and technologies.
“Hon. Micheal Oni and other committee members will provide advice on the delivery of effective Primary Care Programs by providing insight to assist with addressing program issues and risks, share ideas, and provide feedback specifically around implications of Quality Improvement approaches in the primary care setting”. he assured.

Other committee members include; Mrs. Agboola Celicia (PCDI Education), Alhaji Fasasi D.W (RIDC Private Hospital), Rabiu Abdul Mojeed (WDC), Hon. Oni Michael (Hon. Super for Health), Alfa Muhammed Busari Bayo (Rep Imam of Igboho), Chief Saidi Odebunmi (WCD Chairman), Alabi Joseph A (For DF&S), Rev Remi Adelakun (CAN), Fasasi I. A (Rep HLGA), Ajaniila Abdul Ganiyu (COS), High Chief Ebel O.L (Representing Traditional Council), Ramota Owolase (Woman Leader), Adepoju Moses A. (Agri Department), Salami M.A (NSCDC) and Mrs. Adenle M.A (PHCC/Secretary)
“This committee cut across all the three levels of government (Federal, State, and Local) will serve as an interface to embrace the principles of safe, coordinated, accessible, and patient-centered care as well as passionate about improving patient care and health service delivery”. He affirmed.

In his remarks, the PHCs advisory committee Chairman, Hon. Michael Oni commended the council chairman for inaugurating the committee at the local level. He lauded the PHCs coordinator in Oorelope, Mrs. Adenle M.A, and the council Chairman for their progressive insights to ensure adequate provisions of primary healthcare delivery for Oorelope residents, claiming that it’s the first of its kind in the history of the local government.

He now assured the council residents that the committee headed by him will swing into action to provide avoidable primary healthcare delivery as one of the core mandates of the council Boss, Hon. Raheem Akeem Adepoju.
