Veteran Yoruba Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has died after battling cancer.
Ogogo reportedly died on Sunday afternoon, August 23, 2026, while undergoing treatment for the ailment.
A colleague of the veteran actor, who confirmed the development to Heritage Echo News said he received the shocking news only a few minutes before speaking with the medium.
“Yes I received the cal few minutes ago I am broken” he said
The death comes days after the actor’s daughters, Lima and Kira Taiwo, publicly appealed for urgent medical assistance for their father, revealing that he was battling stage-four cancer.
The family had earlier dismissed reports of his death on August 18, describing them as false, as the actor continued to receive medical attention at the time.
