The attention of supporters of Hon. Barr. Olayemi Ajibola Oluwasina, popularly known as Barr Fash, has been drawn to reports circulating on social media claiming that another individual, popularly known as Mabaje, has emerged as the consensus candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the Ido Local Government Chairmanship election.

According to party leaders and stakeholders who participated in the leadership meeting held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, these reports are false, misleading, and should be disregarded by members of the party and the general public.

The meeting, attended by respected party leaders including Mallam Muili Yusuf, Alhaji Akisola Ayuba, Alhaji Kamoruden Adedibu, Mr. Akano, Alhaji Musibau Emiola, Mr. Owolabi, and several other leaders from across Ido Local Government, reportedly reached a consensus endorsing Hon. Barr. Olayemi Ajibola Oluwasina (Barr Fash) as the party’s consensus chairmanship candidate.

Party stakeholders urged members not to be distracted by unverified information or social media speculation intended to create confusion within the party. They emphasized the importance of relying on official communications from recognized party leaders and authorized spokespersons.

The leaders also called on all APM members and supporters to remain united, focused, and committed to the collective goal of ensuring victory for the party in the forthcoming local government election.

Supporters of Barr. Oluwasina described the circulation of the contrary reports as an attempt to misinform party members and appealed to the public to verify political information through credible and official channels.

They reaffirmed their confidence in Barr. Oluwasina’s leadership, experience, and commitment to the growth and development of Ido Local Government, expressing optimism that the unity demonstrated by the party’s leadership will translate into electoral success.
