The Member representing Lagelu State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Chief Whip of the House and Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Olajide Akintunde, popularly known as AKT, has congratulated the newly appointed market leaders across Oyo State.
The market leaders include Princess Folashade Azeezat Abeo Nurudeen as Iyaloja-General of Oyo State; Y.K. Abass as Babaloja-General; S.T. Jimoh as Aare Oloja; and J.T. Raimi as Asiwaju Oloja.
AKT described their emergence as an important development in market administration and leadership, expressing confidence that their appointments would promote unity, cooperation and effective representation of traders across the state.
He urged market women, traders, artisans and other stakeholders across Oyo State to rally behind the new market leaders and give them the necessary support to succeed in their respective roles.
The lawmaker emphasised the importance of unity among traders, noting that collective support and cooperation would strengthen market associations, promote peaceful coexistence and contribute to the growth of commercial activities across the state.
AKT further expressed optimism that the new executives would demonstrate exemplary leadership, protect the interests of traders and work collaboratively with the Oyo State Government to advance the welfare of market men and women.
He wished Princess Folashade Azeezat Abeo Nurudeen, Y.K. Abass, S.T. Jimoh and J.T. Raimi successful tenures, urging them to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, fairness and a strong commitment to the development of markets across Oyo State.
