
The Special Assistant on Works in Oyo West Local Government, Ojongbodu, Hon. Adesokan Moruff Adebayo, has congratulated Hon. Alhaji Nureni Adesola Alade and Hon. Adebayo Saheed following their affirmation as the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) consensus Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates for Oyo West Local Government ahead of the forthcoming local government elections.

In a congratulatory statement made available to journalists, Hon. Adesokan described the emergence of the duo through a consensus arrangement as a reflection of the confidence, trust and overwhelming acceptance they enjoy among party stakeholders, leaders and members across Oyo West Local Government.
He commended the leadership of the Allied Peoples Movement in Oyo West for embracing dialogue, unity and internal democracy in arriving at a consensus that, according to him, places the collective interest of the party above individual ambitions.

The Special Assistant specifically applauded the commitment of party elders, executives and critical stakeholders whose maturity and sense of responsibility ensured a peaceful and transparent consensus process capable of strengthening the party’s structure ahead of the December local government elections.


According to him, the affirmation of Hon. Nureni Alade and Hon. Adebayo Saheed demonstrates the determination of the APM family to present credible, experienced and grassroots-oriented leaders who possess the capacity to consolidate development and provide purposeful leadership for the people of Oyo West.

Hon. Adesokan expressed confidence that the Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates possess the administrative competence, political experience and people-centred vision required to move the local government to greater heights if elected.
He noted that the records of commitment, accessibility and dedication displayed by the candidates over the years have earned them the confidence of party members and residents, adding that their emergence has further boosted the morale of supporters across the local government.
While urging party faithful to remain united and committed to the success of the APM, Hon. Adesokan stressed that the period leading to the elections should be characterised by issue-based campaigns, mutual respect and continuous engagement with the electorate.
