This prestigious award, which is part of the broader East Africa International Arbitration Conference (EAIAC), highlights exceptional talent under 40 years old in the field of international arbitration.

The AAA serves to honor outstanding contributions to arbitration in Africa, celebrating individuals and teams who have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and excellence in the arbitration community.

He is a qualified lawyer with cognate experience in international arbitration and commercial litigation. Toheeb holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in International Business Law with Distinction from the University of Law, London, United Kingdom.

His legal practice has seen him involved in a wide array of commercial and investment arbitrations under the rules of prominent international bodies such as the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), American Arbitration Association/International Centre for Dispute Resolution (AAA/ICDR), Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration Lagos (RCICAL), and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), as both counsel and tribunal secretary.

He has also assisted in litigation in the courts of England and Wales, from the County Courts to the Supreme Court.

In his congratulatory message, Toheeb’s father, Architect Hammed Olawale Amuda expressed his joy over this feat attained by his son.

According to him, “I, along with the entire family, am overjoyed by this outstanding achievement. We express our gratitude to God for blessing Toheeb with this success and extend our best wishes for his continued growth in the legal profession as he advances in his career”.
