The Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly and member representing Atiba State Constituency, Hon. Gbenga Joseph Oyekola, has congratulated Barr. Idowu Oyeleke on his confirmation as a Commissioner by the Oyo State House of Assembly.

Oyeleke’s confirmation followed his screening alongside other nominees by the House Committee on Special Duties. The nominees were subsequently considered and confirmed during Thursday’s plenary session of the Assembly.

In a congratulatory message, Hon. Oyekola described the confirmation as a well-deserved recognition of Oyeleke’s wealth of experience, dedication, and commitment to public service.

The lawmaker expressed confidence in Oyeleke’s ability to make meaningful contributions to the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, noting that his previous service as Commissioner for Environment equipped him with the requisite knowledge and expertise required for effective governance.

Hon. Oyekola further stated that Oyeleke’s return to the executive arm of government would strengthen ongoing efforts aimed at delivering quality leadership and sustainable development across the state.

He wished the newly confirmed commissioner a successful tenure and urged him to continue to uphold the principles of accountability, diligence, and service to the people of Oyo State.

Barr. Oyeleke, an indigene of Oyo State and a seasoned public administrator, previously served as Commissioner for Environment, where he played key roles in environmental management and policy implementation.

His confirmation marks a return to the state’s executive council, bringing with him years of experience in governance and public administration.
