Princess Afolashade Abeo Nurudeen, a prominent national market leader, Oyo-born entrepreneur and Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Ur’Image Couture, has strongly added her voice to the recent wave of kidnappings in Oyo State, condemning the abduction of teachers, who are responsible for educating students, as well as young pupils in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, alongside similar incidents reported in other parts of the country.

In a heartfelt press statement, Princess Nurudeen described the recurring abductions as “deeply disturbing and unacceptable,” expressing particular concern over the vulnerability of children who continue to be targeted by criminal elements.

Speaking as a mother, she noted that the emotional toll of such incidents is unbearable, stressing that no family should be made to endure the agony of uncertainty over the safety of their children for nearly three weeks.

She further called on security agencies and relevant authorities to intensify efforts toward the immediate and safe rescue of all abducted victims, many of whom, according to reports, have now spent close to 20 days in captivity.

While acknowledging the efforts of government so far, she particularly commended the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, for the steps already taken in response to the security challenges in the state.

However, she emphasized that more proactive, strategic, and coordinated security measures are urgently required to ensure the safe return of the abductees and to prevent further occurrences of such tragic incidents.

Princess Nurudeen concluded by calling for unity among stakeholders, increased community vigilance, and a strengthened security architecture, while praying for the swift and safe release of all those still in captivity.
