G-22, Immediate Past Forum of LG Party Chairmen, Passes Vote of Confidence on Gov Makinde, State Party Excos led by Hon Dayo Ogungbenro

Yesterday, in a show of unwavering commitment to the development of People’s Democratic Party(PDP) and good governance of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, the twenty two members named G-22 under the banner of the Forum of the immediate past Local Government Party Chairmen, converged at Oyo town to put heads together for the progress of the Party at their various Local Governments.

The Chairman of the G-22, Alhaji Lukman Adesina appreciated members for standing by with the Party up till this moment and despite the defection saga that rocked the party. To God be glory, all members remain firm & Committed with the Party and His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde, our dear Principal, The Executive Governor of Oyo State.

Also in an expressing of gratitude, the members appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for the opportunity given to them to serve their respective Local Governments successfully.

After all the reports of the situation of the Party at our various Local Governments, we resolved that; the members reposed their trust and confidence in the Leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.
They also congratulated Hon Dayo Ogungbenro, State Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, State Deputy Chairman, Hon Yemi Oyelami, State Secretary and members of the State Executive Committee Members for the Success of the recently conducted Congresses in the State and National Convention held recently in Ibadan. The Ibadan 2025 National Convention hosted by our Pragmatic Leader, Engr Seyi Makinde is also a testament to his Capacity, Capability and Quality; the Party members and good Citizens of Oyo State always have in him.

The Forum unanimously appreciated the good governance of the administration of Engr Seyi Makinde and passed Vote of Confidence in him to vie for the exalted office of the Presidency, Federal Republic of Nigeria in our great Party.

Members also assured the State Leadership of the Party, of the total commitment and support to the newly Local Exco Committee at our various Local Governments.

Hon Isaiah Bakare, who presided over the meeting on behalf of Alhaji Lukman Adesina, finally reiterated the commitment of all members for the success of Governor Seyi Makinde, State Party Exco and 2027 General Elections.
