Respected political figure and community advocate Hon. Afolabi Idris Aloma has extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Adeniyi Afeez, the newly appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC), and Mr. Olatunde Akintunde, who was named a member of the commission.
In a statement released and made available to newsmen, Hon. Idris Aloma praised the appointments as a step in the right direction for democratic advancement in Oyo State, emphasizing the critical role of OYSIEC in ensuring transparent and credible local government elections.
According to him, “I warmly congratulate Dr. Afeez and Mr. Olatunde Akintunde on their well-deserved appointments. Their track records in public service and dedication to democratic values position them as capable stewards for the responsibilities ahead,” Aloma stated.
He further expressed confidence in the commission’s ability to conduct free, fair, and credible elections that reflect the will of the people.
