The Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, has commended leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area for conducting a peaceful and well-organized congress that led to the emergence of new party executives.

At the congress held on Saturday through a consensus arrangement, Hon. Musibau Emiola was selected as the new PDP Local Government Chairman, while Abiodun Emmanuel Fadeyibi, popularly known as “Al-pacino,” emerged as the Local Government Secretary.

In a statement issued shortly after the exercise, Hon. Adeojo congratulated the newly elected executives, describing their emergence as a welcome development that will further strengthen the PDP’s position in Ido Local Government ahead of future political activities.

He praised party stakeholders for embracing unity and consensus in electing their leaders, saying it reflects the party’s commitment to internal democracy and collective progress.

“I want to sincerely congratulate Hon. Musibau Emiola, Abiodun Fadeyibi (Al-pacino), and all other executives elected at the congress. Their emergence is not only a testament to their acceptance by party members but also a demonstration of our collective desire to move the party forward,” Adeojo said.

He further assured the new leadership of his full support, adding that his administration will continue to promote unity, inclusiveness, and democratic values within the party and the wider political space in Ido Local Government.
