At Iresaadu, the Headquarter of Surulere Local Government, it was really a show of unity and strength of the People’s Democratic Party and to appraise the Progress of the Party across the Eleven Local Governments of Oyo Central Senatorial District.
The Senatorial Chairman, Hon Mufutau Ogunremi, who commended the party faithful members, Leaders and entire Stakeholders for the love of the Party by coming together from far & near to Channel a good course for the progress of our Party ahead of General Elections in 2027.
In similar vein, Hon Ogunremi introduced Hon Mayowa Ojo from Afijio Local Government, Oyo State as an aspirant for Oyo Central Senatorial District come 2027.
In his own response, Hon Mayowa Ojo appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for creating an enabling environment for youths to display their potentials in Government and Politics. He also applauded the State Executive Members of the Party in making sure that, all internal mechanism of this nature are explored for the progress of the Party. He stated that, he has been contributing to the progress of the Party in his Local Government in the past years and also assured the party of his immense contributions. He concluded with the donation of One Hundred Thousands Naira(#100,000) for each Local Government of Eleven (11) Local Governments of Oyo Central Senatorial District together with other logistics for the Party.
Mayowa Olaniyi Ojo hailed from Afijio Local Government and attended Fiditi Grammar School, Fiditi, Oyo State. He also holds Bachelor of Philosophy (B.Sc) and Masters in Philosophy and Public Affairs (M. Phil) from University of Ibadan.
