In view of the recent convocation ceremony of University of Ibadan, Princess Afolashade Abeo Nurudeen, a respected royal figure and market leader in South West Nigeria, has expressed profound pride and admiration for her son, Yisahu Aderibigbe, who was among the distinguished graduates of the 2024 class.

Princess Abeo, known for her advocacy in education and youth empowerment, delivered an emotional address to the graduates, emphasizing the significance of perseverance, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence.

However, her remarks took on a more personal tone when she spoke of her son’s achievement.

“Yisahu, you have made us proud,” she said, addressing him directly.

“Your journey has not only been one of academic success but also one of growth, determination, and integrity.

Today, we celebrate not only your accomplishments but the person you have become.”

Yisahu Aderibigbe, who graduated with Master’s of Art in Peace And Conflict Studies (Human Security) from the prestigious University Of Ibadan was visibly moved by his mother’s words.

The young graduate’s achievement is a culmination of years of hard work, sacrifice, and dedication, traits that Princess Abeo emphasized in her speech.

“Your commitment to excellence and your ability to overcome every obstacle has been a source of inspiration,” she added. “This is just the beginning of what I am sure will be a future filled with even greater accomplishments.”

The convocation ceremony, attended by faculty, dignitaries, family, and friends, saw Yisahu Aderibigbe join the ranks of the university’s distinguished alumni.

The event also served as a celebration of academic achievement, with graduates from various disciplines receiving their degrees and accolades.

The atmosphere was charged with pride and anticipation for the future, as many graduates looked forward to contributing to their respective fields.

Princess Abeo’s public acknowledgment of her son’s success at the event also highlighted her longstanding dedication to promoting education, particularly for young people.
