The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) House of Representatives candidate for Oyo Federal Constituency, Barr. Temilolu Nurudeen Ashamu (Seun TNA), has donated ₦2.5 million towards roof repairs at Victory Baptist Church, Akeetan, Oyo West Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Ashamu made the contribution during a visit to the church on Sunday, October 18, 2026, when he joined the congregation for its Sunday worship service.
The donation was made in support of the church’s ongoing efforts to repair its roofing and improve the condition of the worship facility.
Speaking during the visit, Ashamu expressed appreciation to the church leadership and congregation for welcoming him and members of his delegation.
He acknowledged the important role religious institutions play in society, particularly in promoting moral values, peaceful coexistence, community development and support for vulnerable members of society.
Ashamu noted that churches and other faith-based organisations contribute to the wellbeing of communities beyond their spiritual responsibilities, providing platforms for social interaction, charitable activities and mutual support.
He reiterated the importance of maintaining strong relationships with community and religious organisations across Afijio, Oyo East, Oyo West and Atiba Federal Constituency.
The ₦2.5 million contribution was intended to assist the church in addressing its roofing needs and improving the environment for worshippers.
Members of the church leadership and congregation received the delegation during the service.
The visit formed part of Ashamu’s continuing engagements with community institutions across Oyo Federal Constituency.
