…Adeniran-led Campaign Council Inaugurates 33 Local Government Campaign Committees in Oyo.
The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has officially inaugurated Hon. Adeniran Joel Adedapo as the Atiba Local Government Campaign Coordinator for the party’s presidential candidate, Engr. Seyi Abiodun Makinde, and governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration, which also saw the formal inauguration of campaign committees across all 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State, was held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at the Local Government Training Hall, Secretariat, Ibadan.
The exercise was called by the APM Campaign Director-General for Presidential and Gubernatorial in 2027, Barrister Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, and marked a major step towards strengthening the party’s grassroots campaign structure ahead of the elections.

The inauguration brought together party leaders, stakeholders, local government executives, ward chairmen, campaign officials, and loyal party members from across the state.
The newly inaugurated campaign coordinators are expected to serve as the critical link between the party’s central campaign structure and grassroots communities, while coordinating mobilisation, voter engagement, campaign activities and effective communication of the party’s programmes across the various local government areas.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Joel Adedapo expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Allied Peoples Movement for the confidence reposed in him by entrusting him with the responsibility of coordinating the party’s presidential and governorship campaigns in Atiba Local Government.
He described the appointment as both a privilege and a responsibility, stressing that his immediate priority would be to unite party members, strengthen grassroots mobilisation and ensure that the APM’s campaign reaches every part of Atiba.
According to him, the assignment goes beyond occupying a political position, noting that it requires commitment, sacrifice, teamwork and direct engagement with the people.

> “This appointment is not just a call to serve, but a call to lead our people to victory. I pledge my total loyalty to the party, to our leaders, and to the entire people of Atiba Local Government.

> “We shall run a campaign that will touch every unit, ward, zone and household in the Royal Council.”

Adedapo further declared that Atiba Local Government was fully prepared to mobilise massive support for Engr. Seyi Makinde, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi and other APM candidates contesting various elective positions.

He said the campaign structure under his leadership would prioritise grassroots consultation, inclusive mobilisation and sustained engagement with residents, adding that every ward and political unit would be adequately carried along.
The Atiba campaign coordinator also commended the leadership of the party, particularly Engr. Seyi Abiodun Makinde, the APM presidential candidate; Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, the party’s governorship candidate in Oyo State; and other leaders who, according to him, had contributed to the growth and strengthening of the party.
He acknowledged the contributions of Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, Barrister Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, the leader of Atiba, Hon. Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi (AROSAD), the Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Barr. Idowu Lateef Oyeleke, the Acting Chairman of the APM Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Leaders Forum, Alhaji Quadri Olatunji, as well as the APM Executive Chairman in Atiba, Elder Adejare Isiaka Ayinde, and members of the party’s executive structures.
He also appreciated the various ward executives and party stakeholders for their commitment to the development of the party at the grassroots.
The inauguration of the 33 local government campaign committees is expected to provide a coordinated framework for the APM’s grassroots campaign across Oyo State.
With the committees now formally constituted, campaign coordinators are expected to commence extensive mobilisation within their respective local government areas, working closely with ward executives, political leaders, community stakeholders and party members.
For Atiba, the inauguration places Hon. Joel Adedapo at the centre of the party’s grassroots campaign machinery, with the responsibility of coordinating the campaign structure and translating the party’s broader political message into effective local engagement.

The exercise therefore signals the beginning of a more structured phase of the APM’s campaign activities as the party intensifies preparations for the 2027 elections.
Among those who accompanied Hon. Joel Adedapo to the inauguration were the Atiba APM Chairman, Elder Adejare Isiaka Ayinde; Acting Chairman, Board of Trustees, Alhaji Quadri Olatunji, members of the local government executive; ward chairmen; Hon. Lasisi Kazeem (Super K); Hon. Abu Ibrahim, and other party leaders and stakeholders.

The newly inaugurated Atiba campaign coordinator is expected to work with the local government and ward-level structures to build a formidable campaign network capable of reaching voters across the local government.
With the inauguration completed, the APM campaign machinery in Atiba is set to move into full grassroots mobilisation, with the stated objective of securing overwhelming support for Engr. Seyi Makinde, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi and other APM candidates in the 2027 elections.
