The candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Hon. Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji (KSA), has continued his grassroots engagement across the constituency, visiting several communities and providing financial and infrastructural support to residents.l

KSA, during the tour, visited Olounde Gbopa, Elebu, Abese, Latiku, Sangote, Oke-Ola, Alayo, Atenda, Olorieran, Olororo, Power Line/Banana Highland, Owoyale, Siba and Eleshinmeta communities, where he held engagements with residents, community leaders and other stakeholders on issues affecting their welfare and development.

As part of the interventions, KSA provided financial support totalling ₦4.1 million across the communities visited.

The support included ₦1 million for Olounde Gbopa, ₦2 million for the 10 communities visited during the previous leg of the tour, ₦300,000 for Elebu, ₦300,000 for Abese, alongside solar power support, and ₦500,000 for Eleshinmeta community.

At the Elebu Health Centre, KSA also provided solar power support to improve electricity availability and support the delivery of basic healthcare services to residents.

The interventions were received with appreciation by residents and community leaders, who commended KSA for what they described as his continued engagement with communities at the grassroots.

During the tour, residents of Eleshinmeta and some other communities also expressed support for KSA and the APM Oyo South Senatorial candidate, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide Odidiomo, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

ROCKOF Group Defects to APM

The community engagement also witnessed the defection of members of the ROCKOF Group, Remi Oseni Committee of Friends, to the APM.

Speaking on behalf of the group, its leader said members decided to leave their former political platform over what they described as the failure to fulfil promises made to their communities since 2023.

The group alleged that development projects, including the provision of a transformer and a health centre, had previously been promised but had not been delivered.

According to the group, its decision to support KSA and Odidiomo under the APM was informed by the need for effective representation, sustained grassroots engagement and development initiatives with direct benefits to residents.

The members subsequently announced their defection to the APM and declared their support for KSA and Odidiomo ahead of the 2027 elections.

Responding, KSA expressed appreciation to the residents and members of the group for their confidence and support.

He reiterated his commitment to grassroots development, empowerment and accessible representation, assuring constituents that his engagement with communities would remain focused on initiatives capable of improving their living conditions.

KSA also called for unity and cooperation among residents, stressing that sustainable development requires collective participation and continuous engagement between communities and their representatives.
