The Oyo State Supervisors’ Forum has congratulated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and the First Lady of the state, Her Excellency, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on the conferment of the prestigious chieftaincy titles of Aare Soludero of Ibarapaland and Yeye Soludero of Ibarapaland, respectively.
In a congratulated message released and made available to newsmen on Saturday and jointly signed by the Coordinator of the forum, Alarape Kabeer Imam, and it’s Secretary, Azeez Waheed Emiloju, the Forum described the honours as a remarkable recognition of the Governor and the First Lady’s contributions to the growth, development and overall progress of Oyo State, particularly their commitment to good governance, inclusive leadership and the welfare of the people.
The prestigious titles were conferred on Governor Makinde and his wife by the Ibarapa Traditional Council during a historic ceremony held at the palace of the Eleruwa of Eruwa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Adedayo Adeagbola.
According to the Oyo State Supervisors’ Forum, the recognition by the revered traditional institution further reflects the enduring relationship between the present administration and the people of Ibarapaland, as well as the confidence reposed in Governor Makinde’s leadership and developmental vision for the state.
The Forum noted that the conferment of the titles represents not only a personal honour for the Governor and the First Lady but also a significant acknowledgement of their collective efforts and dedication to promoting peace, unity, progress and sustainable development across Oyo State.
It further commended the Governor for his continued investment in critical infrastructure, human capital development and policies aimed at improving the standard of living of residents across the state.
The Supervisors’ Forum also praised the First Lady for her support for the administration and her contributions to initiatives focused on the welfare and well-being of women, children and families in Oyo State.
The Forum therefore congratulated Their Excellencies on the well-deserved recognition and wished them continued wisdom, strength and greater accomplishments in their service to the people of Oyo State.
It also applauded the Ibarapa Traditional Council and the Eleruwa of Eruwa for finding Governor Makinde and the First Lady worthy of the distinguished honours, describing the conferment as a celebration of leadership, service and commitment to the development of the state.
